Job Description:

Summary:  Provides clinical leadership to clinical staff while providing direct services.

 

Special Attributes:  Strong psychosocial, clinical assessment skills. Minimal supervision regarding use of time, able to prioritize work assignments. Ability to communicate effectively with professionals and clients/families. Ability to make sound decisions in emergency situations.

Supervisory Responsibilities:  

Provide on-site supervision to all MH or SA staff staff.

Education and/or Experience:

Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or relative field, from an accredited college or university.  Three to five years of clinical practice experience.

Certificates, License, Registration:

Must be Licensed or Certified in Area of Practice: Certified Clinical Supervisor(preferred), Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist(CCAS required), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Psychological Associate, Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Substance Abuse Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Practicing Psychologist, Registered Nurse and/or licensed or certified in a related human services field.

 

Preferred Skills:

Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret human service periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, effective treatment notes and related documents.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and/or the public.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, mean, mode and median; ability to interpret bar graphs.
