NORTH CAROLINA – In an effort to strengthen North Carolinians’ access to quality and affordable behavioral healthcare Daymark Recovery Services, Freedom House Recovery Center and Insight Human Services are pleased to announce a formal affiliation which began on July 1, 2018. This affiliation allows for continuation of quality services, as well, as providing access points for persons to receive care in 60 of North Carolina’s 100 Counties.
The combined organizational affiliation will employ more than 1,500 people and serves more than 55,000 patients.
“This is about better patient care,” says Daymark CEO Billy West. “In many ways, the behavioral healthcare system is so fragmented people can find it overwhelming to navigate. By affiliating with Insight and Freedom House, we hope to make it easier for people to get the care they need.”
Insight formalized a partnership with Freedom House in 2017, and the CEO of both organizations Jeff Matkins believes that affiliation laid the groundwork for this new opportunity, “It’s an effective way to strengthen programs and services, ranging from outpatient treatment to care management for those on court-ordered probation. There are also tremendous synergies in this affiliation that will yield cost savings that can be directed back into direct care.”
The affiliation allows each company to maintain its own identity and assures no disruption in services.
Daymark’s mission is to inspire and empower people to seek and maintain recovery and health. This non-profit provides an array of outpatient and psychiatric services for the treatment of mental illnesses, substance use disorders or developmental disabilities. Services are tailored to individual needs and delivered using evidence-based approaches to increase effectiveness. Daymark provides on demand access to care in all service locations and uses technology assisted therapies to integrate behavioral and primary care. For more information visit www.daymarkrecovery.org.
